These two had a great time with each other, like always.
Walker thought he was a big boy and tagged behind the big kids. He pretended to be a knight with Clara's sword.
And then he did a little sparring with his big cousin, Clayton. I tell you what, this boy learns alot from those big cousins of his!
MK modeled a crown.......
And Clara and MK tried on all sorts of New Year hats, headbands, and crowns. I would say that they love each other. It's pretty evident in these pictures.
They really had a good time being silly and playing together.
I couldn't get a picture of my two together so I settled for this........
Walker tried blowing the horn like Clayton did.
My New Year baby........
Only he's not really a baby anymore! He's definitely a toddler and sometimes he thinks he's a BIG boy.MK and Walker were both scared of the fireworks this year. We stayed inside while the others shot fireworks. MK was really worked up and nervous about the loud noise so we left around 9:00pm to go home. We turned on Dick Clark's rocking New Year's Eve from Times Square on tv and watched a few performers. Walker fell right to sleep. MK finally fell asleep with her hands over her ears. Thankfully neither of them woke up at midnight. In our parish it is legal to pop fireworks so on New Year's Eve, 4th of July, National Championships, big football games, and the days leading up to and after these events are a little crazy. It's like being in Disney World for the end of the night fireworks show. I can understand why MK didn't like them this year. I don't really care for them either. MK spent the next night like this in Jeremy's "ear muffs". At least that's what MK calls them........
She slept great since she couldn't hear the fireworks. It was a low key but good night. It's always fun to celebrate with family and we enjoy going over to my brother's house for this holiday. Happy New Year!
