Before bed, he got his second wind and was being a wild man! I love his Elmo pajamas and he does too!
Obviously my cleaning project didn't start in the living room. Because we were home all day the kids drug out lots of toys into the living room and they were still there at bedtime. We really need a play room for all of their toys!! They have consumed our house and are everywhere. It doesn't matter how much I organize them or how many toy bins we have, they still always end up scattered throughout the entire house. Sign of the times......that's what I keep telling myself. One day they will trade their toys for Nintendo DS, clothes, and electronic things. Toys will not be under my feet forever although it feels that way now! MK and Walker literally play with everything they have and they love their toys. I clean out the toy bins every few months but keep their favorites. MK does a descent job of picking up after she plays with something but Walker messes up when he cleans up. It never fails, I will have just put up his toys in a basket or organized them and he is right there behind me to dump them out. It drives me nuts!
So having a "clean" house with an active 19 month old and 3 year old is not in the cards right now. Plus add that to my very lacking housekeeping skills and then you can see why I need to "spring" clean this house! My only resolutions this year (and they are big ones) are to keep a clean house, eat healthy, stay active, and take time to love my babies each and every day! 2012 is going to be a good year!
I can feel it and I think Walker can too!
Here's hoping I can stick with my resolutions longer than the month of January. And please forgive the red eyes in these pictures. I haven't had time to edit them out.....I'm too busy cleaning......and busy with the kiddos. Next week we get back to our regular routine of preschool, dance, and gym. We have enjoyed some down time after the holidays but seem to do better on a routine. I am looking forward to kicking off this new year. There is something exciting about the clean slate of a new year. Happy 2012!
